Adapting experiential learning in times of uncertainty

Challenges, strategies, and recommendations moving forward

Experiential learning offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience with a community partner in their field of study. During Covid-19, many workplaces transitioned from in-person to at-home work environments, and those that did not, often reduced or removed access for non-essential personnel. This transition presented challenges for those involved in students’ experiential learning. In this panel, we will hear multiple perspectives from individuals who navigated this transition with a focus on lessons learned, practical solutions, and recommendations moving forward.
