Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS) nurtures and supports teaching and learning through pedagogical development, instructional technologies, learning spaces, and a wide range of teaching support.
Who we are
The Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS) specializes in university teaching and techno-pedagogy to support faculty members and enhance the student learning experience. We help professors offer students quality and flexible learning and assist them in using technology appropriately. We manage the equipement in all 280 registrar's classrrom. Our team consists of over sixty experts (university teaching specialists, techno-pedagogic advisors, audiovisual technicians, graphic designers, Web designers, project managers, trainers, etc.).
The TLSS expertise in university teaching makes it a unique and indispensable service to the University of Ottawa faculty members.
TLSS is overseen by the Director-General, Alain St-Amant, who works under the strategic oversight of the Vice-Provost of Academic Affairs.
We promote quality learning to improve the student experience by supporting faculty members and enhancing university teaching. We implement and support teaching technologies, teaching spaces, pedagogical strategy, teaching innovation, research, Programs development and evaluation and more.
TLSS produces several reports each year, including the Annual Report, which outlines our progress and successes, as well as reports on surveys, strategic research and impact assessments.
