Rethinking Evaluation in the AI Era: A practical workshop

New workshop

The rapid rise of generative AI is transforming how students learn, produce work, and demonstrate their knowledge. This 90‑minute practical workshop invites instructors to revisit foundational assessment principles and explore how to design more authentic, robust, and AI‑resilient assessments. Through collaborative activities, example analysis, and practice sharing, participants will leave with concrete strategies to adapt or redesign their assessments for today’s learning environment.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Recall essential principles of assessment and their role in instructional design.
  • Identify key characteristics of a robust, AI‑resistant assessment.
  • Outline a practical approach for designing or revising an assessment to make it more authentic, complex, and distributed over time.

This workshop is offered on campus only.
