Open Educational Resources (OER)
Explore the University of Ottawa Library's Open Educational Resources (OER) kit, a curated collection of freely accessible, high-quality guides designed to help professors find or create such resources for their teaching.
What is an OER?
An open educational resource can be a textbook, a course, a video, a podcast, a simulation, a case study, or any other learning materials available openly. What differentiates an OER from other digital resources is that it can be widely distributed and adapted because it is free and not subject to copyright restrictions. A Creative Commons licence most often indicates this openness.
