Teaching with AI – Winter 2026

A program designed and offered by eCampusOntario


The Teaching with AI Micro-Credential provides postsecondary educators with essential concepts and best practices to explore, evaluate, and experiment with AI in today's rapidly evolving landscape. This program covers key topics such as the use of AI in postsecondary education, prompt engineering, guidelines and policies, as well as ethics and academic integrity. By engaging in this learning opportunity, educators will be empowered to integrate AI confidently into their daily practices and promote the responsible use of AI technologies.

The program is designed to:

  • understand and evaluate the role of AI in postsecondary education
  • apply AI responsibly in academic and institutional contexts
  • interpret and adhere to institutional guidelines and policies
  • build confidence in using AI in your practice
  • gain practical strategies and insights
  • initiate meaningful conversations with your students, colleagues, and leadership about AI

Each module equips you with practical knowledge and skills for engaging with AI in a confident, responsible, and evidence-informed way. The modules include:

  1. AI Explorer: Learn to discern the key concepts and contexts of AI and demonstrate practical and ethical AI integration strategies in educational contexts.
  2. AI Evaluator: Integrate AI effectively into teaching and learning practices
  3. AI Experimenter: Recommend strategies for AI-enabled education.

Starting January 19, 2026, optional synchronous information and coaching sessions will be held during the Winter. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues and receive guidance from eCampusOntario specialists.
