Drafting an AI Use policy for your courses’ activities and assessments: A Practical Workshop

New workshop

In this collaborative session, you will work individually or in small groups to design an AI use policy for a specific assessment. Using examples and best practices, you will identify sensitive areas, choose a permission level (prohibited use, restricted use, conditional use, or open use), and draft a clear policy of AI use, that will offer greater transparency and less ambiguity for your students.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define learning objectives and skills assessed for a specific task.
  • Identify sensitive areas related to AI use in that task.
  • Select and justify an appropriate AI permission level (prohibited, restricted, conditional, or open).
  • Draft a clear and consistent AI use policy aligned with the task and learning goals.

Important: Bring with you the instructions for one of your courses’ specific task or assessment.

This workshop is offered on campus only.
